Data Deletion Requests

This page explains how to request the deletion of personal data associated with the Sweettree Carer and STC Related Person mobile applications, published by SweetTree Connect. Both are provisioned-access apps — Sweettree Carer for authorised care staff, STC Related Person for authorised family members and representatives; accounts are created by SweetTree Connect on behalf of the care provider and cannot be created in the apps.
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@sweettreeconnect.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", naming the app (Sweettree Carer or STC Related Person).
- Include the work email address the account was provisioned with, so we can locate the data.
- We will confirm receipt, verify the request with you (and, where care records are involved, with the responsible care provider), and confirm once deletion is complete. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Account and identity data: your work email address, account identifier, and sign-in records.
- Device data: the push-notification token(s) registered for your device.
- Diagnostic data: technical logs linked to your account, on expiry of their short retention window.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Care and visit records (goal scores, monitored-event recordings, notes, and visit-completion records) form part of the care record of the individuals receiving care. They are managed on behalf of the responsible care provider and are subject to statutory health and social care record-keeping obligations, so they are retained for the period those obligations require rather than deleted on request. Where possible they are de-identified from the departing account.
- Data needed to comply with other legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims, may also be retained for as long as those grounds apply.
Personal data that is retained is kept only for as long as the applicable obligation requires, after which it is deleted or anonymised, as described in our Privacy Policy.
